Hey there, I’m Emilie!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering virtual therapy in Ohio and Connecticut. I identify as a biracial Afro-Latina and first-generation American. I’m also queer and have ADHD — these identities shape how I show up in my work.
Over the past 8 years, I’ve worked across clinical settings, community mental health, refugee services, adoption, and schools. I earned my Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.
I offer relational, person-centered therapy that feels welcoming, collaborative, and affirming. I believe you are the expert in you, and having a space dedicated to you can help you feel your best. My role is to walk alongside you as you process, reflect, and build coping tools while navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges — or whatever’s showing up in your life!
Our work together is conversational and fluid, adapting to changes as they come. Building a caring and trusting relationship is central to how I practice, because therapy works best when you feel fully yourself in the room.
I especially enjoy working with BIPOC clients, queer folks, and fellow therapists/social workers. Many of my clients are navigating identity, relationships, or everyday stress. I also welcome clients from all backgrounds who are looking for a supportive and collaborative space.
When I’m not working, you can find me traveling as a digital nomad, paddle boarding, or attempting to learn the ukulele.
If this resonates, I’d love to connect! Please reach out with any questions or to schedule a consultation — I’m looking forward to chatting with you. 🙂
